La Pierre Plantée is located in the Lot, between the main towns of Souillac 8km and Martel 7km, in the commune of Baladou, in the hamlet of Bazalgues. All main shops, bars & restaurants are located in the main towns. Personal transport is needed to get around the area.

Airports & Autoroutes

The local airport Brive-Vallee de la Dordogne has flights to Paris and London. Brive airport is only a 15 minute drive from us.
The other airports are Bergerac to the west and Limoges to the north, also Rodez and Toulouse to the south.

Autoroute A20(E9) from Paris or Toulouse exit at Junction 55 to Souillac.

Routes from the UK

There are various ways to cross from the UK to France by motorbike.
Dover-Calais by ferry or channel tunnel. Newhaven-Dieppe by Ferry. Portsmouth-Le Harve by Ferry.
From all of these crossings use the route via Rouen, Dreux, and Orleans as a good route to avoid Paris. The trip can be completed in 1 day, but 2 days can be more comfortable. Contact us directly for advice on favorable routes from any planned crossing port.
